A hardback book containing an oral history of the Stranglers in the words of over 300 fans
With more than twenty Top 40 UK singles and 20 UK Top 40 albums, The Stranglers have been preaching the gospel according to the Meninblack since 1974. Their UK Top 10 hits include ‘Peaches’, ‘Something Better Change’, ‘Strange Little Girl’, ‘European Female’, ‘All Day And All Of The Night’ and UK No. 2 ‘Golden Brown’.
To celebrate their 50 years in the business, Spenwood Books is proud to publish The Stranglers – Live (Excerpts), a fully authorised history of the Stranglers as told in the words of fans. With a foreword by legendary bassist JJ Burnel, this fully illustrated book tells the band’s story over 344 colourful pages in a beautiful large format hardback.
With memories from the Hope & Anchor pub in Islington in 1976 through to their 2022 UK tour, and packed with contributions from fans, friends and collaborators, this is the Stranglers’ story told in an utterly unique fashion.
Having been out of print, The Stranglers – Live (Excerpts) is available once again thanks to Spenwood Books and the book’s editor/writer Richard Houghton.
